Miera Yeger-McKeever, MD

Meira Yeger-McKeever, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Orthopedic Group.

Prior to joining the MVHS Medical Group, Dr. Yeger-McKeever worked as an orthopedic surgeon in multiple New Jersey medical centers including St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston and Morristown Medical Center in Morristown.

Procedures offered and injuries treated by Dr. Yeger-McKeever, include but are not limited to: pediatric and adolescent sports medicine injuries, ACL injuries in children, growth plate sparing ACL surgery, cartilage restoration surgeries, pediatric injuries and fractures, ACL reconstruction, knee pain, throwing injuries, knee cap dislocation, sports-related foot and ankle sprains, and gymnastics and cheerleading injuries.

Specializing in sports medicine, Dr. Yeger-McKeever has served as the assistant team physician for Baltimore Ravens Football, Baltimore Blast Professional Soccer, Washington Nationals Major League Baseball and university sports programs including Morgan State, Goucher, Loyola and Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Yeger-McKeever received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Yeger-McKeever completed an internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
