Laura Franckowiak, MS, RN

Laura Franckowiak, MS, RN, is an advisor with Press Ganey Associates, Inc. which is the leading provider of health care performance improvement solutions. She brings a dynamic approach in partnering with, and educating facilities in the successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

Based in Albany, New York, Laura brings nearly 20 years of healthcare experience to Press Ganey. She has a passion for improving the patient experience, quality of care, and employee engagement.

Laura has worked in a variety of both inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to joining Press Ganey, she held progressive, nursing leadership positions. She has successfully managed the following types of inpatient areas: medical/renal, medical/isolation, medical/general, telemetry, coronary critical care, and an interventional cardiology suite. More recently, Laura was the Director of a Magnet program, which included managing the NDNQI database and improvement efforts. Laura also has several years of experience as a bedside nurse, therefore allowing her to understand the entire health care continuum. She continues to work per-diem as an off-shift Nursing Supervisor, which provides her with ongoing insight into current health care needs.

Laura obtained her Master’s of Science, with an emphasis on Nursing Leadership of Healthcare Systems, in 2009 from Regis University. In addition to this, Laura is a certified Six Sigma yellow belt. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, New York Organization of Nurse Executives, and is the past recording secretary for the Capital District Nursing Research Alliance.

Laura is very active in her community as a volunteer with many organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Animal Protective Foundation, and her son’s Parent Teacher Association.
