Waleed Albert, MD, FACP, is the medical director for Quality and Utilization at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH) of the Mohawk Valley Health System. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American College of Physicians Executives. Dr. Albert most recently held the position of chief medical officer at Rome Memorial Hospital in Rome, New York.

Dr. Albert explores the importance of appropriate antibiotic usage, the serious impact of drug resistant bacteria and explains the elements of a stewardship program.
